Deborah Dunn is a retired licensed therapist living in a old farmhouse she and her husband, Rick, have renovated near Raleigh, N. C. They share it with their beloved Silky Terrier, Henry, and Martini, their equally beloved blind Labrador Retriever, Martini, and Dr. Pete, their fifteen-year old feline friend.  However, Deborah frequently retreats to her apartment in Manteo to write and paint.  A native of Edgecombe County, she is descended from ancestors on all four sides of her family who lived in the Jamestown Colony as early as 1613 and  who were the first to settle the Albemarle. She is passionate about archaeology, research, and colonial history.  So, although she was an accomplished writer of non-fiction she decided that in retirement she would turn that passion into spell-binding murder mysteries.

The Coffins is the first, and is now available on Amazon. She is currently working on the sequel, The Vessel, scheduled to be released in the early spring of 2019.
